Based on the fact we have never seen this problem when COS is working
properly I doubt it is the code unless something got corrupted and assuming
he is using stock rpt.conf timer settings. I also assume he is using
hamvoip code.
It is possible that the COS low signal is not low enough to indicate a
consistent low to the FOB.
To eliminate that it is a bad hardware or software issue I would substitute
a different sound FOB and write a new image. If the issue persists beyond
that I am out of ideas.
What does the timer section of his rpt.conf look like? Here is a good
default setting for normal simplex operation -
[wait-times1998]
telemwait=600
idwait=600
unkeywait=800
calltermwait=2000
A repeater would have a longer tail. You want the tail to be long enough
for the courtesy tone to work properly.
