Ok, I now understand the issue.
what changes did you make to the iax.conf   extensions.conf  files  and device settings to get it operational?
I understand the security risks.

What we found here was that the latest IOS version does not support the "context" parameter.

Since Allstar is configured to expect a context, it will not register - it gets the password in place of the context and then whatever it gets for password will always be wrong. I found it can work if you do not require any password (with attendant risks).

 

The Android version (at least the one that I use) does support context.
