Jim,

Exactly what is it you want to test? Internet connection speed? CPU benchmark?
For Internet speed try this -

Change to a directory you want to download in then -

 wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/master/speedtest_cli.py

chmod 750 speedtest-cli

python2 speedtest-cli

Here are the results I got.....

[root at wa3dsp-27225-hub ~]# python2 speedtest-cli
Retrieving speedtest.net configuration...
Retrieving speedtest.net server list...
Testing from Comcast Cable (73.30.112.57)...
Selecting best server based on latency...
Hosted by Comcast (Plainfield, NJ) [65.54 km]: 22.097 ms
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 29.84 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed..................................................
Upload: 5.83 Mbit/s
