OK,  Well that one piece of information points to a network problem at one or the other end or in between. 

It is often very hard to troubleshoot these kinds of problems because it is basically out of your hands. Each end could try connecting to other places and see what quality they have. Perhaps you could nail it down that way. Then again tomorrow it could be fine.

I will add both nodes were funtioning fine until today and I have not changed anything. Also I was told this morning my audio was broken and missing segments.
