I think I touched on this in the setup how-to but I want to repeat it here because there seems to be some confusion at times.
Configuration settings at allstarlink.org for the most part have nothing to do with local configuration on the BBB or RPi2. Exceptions are the iax server port which can be changed from 4569 if required, your call can be changed under repeater call, the server and node parameters for the database like freq, PL, server name etc. These exceptions still do not change anything locally just in the allstarlink.org database. NO data is passed from allstarlink.org to your server.
Changing echolink, APRS, radio interface, scheduler, DTMF, repeater settings (except call) have no bearing on local settings. All changes need to be made locally to the associated configuration files. Changing them at allstarlink.org has no effect and is a waste of time.
So if you need echolink you modify the echolink config file with your parameters (named echolink.xxx until used)
Saving the configuration for backup or cloning is easy on the BBB or RPi2. There are several methods. See 'How-to backup your RPi2 or BBB' on the hamvoip.org web page.
Also please try to ask RPi2 or BBB related questions here and not on the app_rpt list.
