Hi Jim,
Yes, that's a nice DC-DC converter, too...And, excellent price for a board
that fancy!
I'm interested to hear your concerns about powerpoles. I live in coastal
NC and we've got plenty of damp/salt related corrosion, too. I've got
powerpoles everywhere--100's of pairs installed over about 10 years. The
only failures I've experienced were where I didn't get them installed
correctly (oops!). My experience has been that powerpoles survive
anywhere the remaining radio hardware will survive...I wouldn't consider
using them permanently in any highly exposed location--but, I wouldn't put
a radio, repeater or BBB/RPi2 there, either.
