Chuck,

  You are asking the wrong person on the Fusion. I detest any of the digital RF that is out there. I did modify a DR1 (not x) to work with Allstar but ONLY analog FM. The mod is in the how-to's on the hamvoip.org web page.

The DR1X is a little easier as the back panel connector actually works but it still only allows analog FM when using Allstar as a controller.

The Fusion repeater makes a nice analog FM repeater married with Allstar as long as you don't run it on high power. It is NOT rated for continuous use at high power. Best to run it low and use an external amp.  Internally it is just two FTM400 mobiles back to back.

Chris and I have already discussed this. I was just hoping to use the N10 as this is a pelican case 900 rptr and was looking for a smaller footprint. It is no big deal I just had some time this weekend and after getting the Pi going (which is AWESOME- boots up quick compared to the BBB), I saw the N10 and was just thinking. Thanks for all the work also. On another note, we will be getting a Fusion rptr (price is right) to replace an aging MSF5K and was wondering how the Pi2 interface would work. Any thoughts?

  I recommend the IO gear as the best solution even for the BBB. Wireless FOBS can be a problem and there are so many it is hard to keep up with all possible configurations. When using the IOgear the RPi2 thinks it is connected to a wired network and NO changes are needed in the RPi2 thus swithcing from wired to wireless is seamless.  Another plus when using it is that you can put it outside of a shielded rack and away from the RPi2 or BBB to get a better signal.

Ok everyone I have a wee problem, and have searched and tried what I found on the web but no joy YET.
I switched from a BBB to a Pi2 this weekend and love it. It boots MUCH faster than the BBB. 
I am presently running the GWU IO Gear dongle but would like to use the ASUS N10 I had on the BBB. I can get it to load and operate using wifi-menu -o for the setup and can manually intialize it, but cannot seem to add it to the boot menu. I have tried the netctl commands suggested on some web pages but it will not activate on boot. Is there a certain way to kickstart it on the Pi2?
