Hi Chuck,
The wireless setup for the Pi2 is not ready in this release. There are a
number of caveats when using the wireless usb devices. You do need to
update the wpa_supplicate service with custom version and setup the
appropriate files. You can't use the BBB wireless method (netctl) as the
network is controlled by systemd and they do not play nice together.
I do have a working wifi setup but it's not ready for general distribution;
also it only supports dhcp for IP address assignment for both wireless and
eth0. Currently, this setup does not allow for static IP assignments. At
this point, your best solution is to stay with the GWU IO gear dongle.
