[arm-allstar] Open VPN Help

I seem to need some help setting up my VPN on my BBB ver 1.2.1

I subscribed to the OpenVPN Service today and received my configuration
files.
I moved that file to /etc/openvpn

I then copy and pasted the contents of that .ovpn file I received to the
client.conf file that was already in that directory.

I then edited the /usr/local/etc/allstar.env and changed export
VPN_NETWORK="disabled" to "enabled"

I then restarted the BBB and ran ifconfig, but I still see my original home
IP address.

What am I missing ??  What did I do wrong  :-)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
