Hi Doug,
I can ping
64 bytes from ucsd.edu (132.239.180.101): icmp_seq=157 ttl=52 time=168 ms
Registry shows this
Host dnsmgr Username Perceived Refresh
State
67.215.233.178:4569 Y 28468 151.227.213.230:1024 60
Registered
The results when I press the no 1 key on the radio comes back as
bbb-allstar*CLI> -- Hungup 'DAHDI/pseudo-255737528'
No such command ' -- Hungup 'DAHDI/pseudo-255737528''
I typed simpleusb-tune-menu from the linux command and just tried it again
and it worked
I must have got it wrong
I have had a node running for about four or five years from the acid setup
on my pc to running bbb vers 1 and running the raspberry pi 2 version to
without any problems. I need the raspberry for another project which is why
I'm going back to the BBB and it's the first time I have had any problems
Tried various settings in simpleusb-tune-menu but no difference
Ken

Ken,
It looks like the ip address is correct. See if you can ping at the linux
prompt - ping ucsd.edu
Also go into the client - asterisk -rvvv and type iax2 show registry
and see if you are registering.
The example you gave didn't show the actual tones in the display??? It
should print the DTMF key you press.
simpleusb-tune-menu is a linux command - not in the client.
I don't recommend usbradio on any of the small boards at this time. I am
surprised you were using it on version 1.0
Do keep in mind that simpleusb requires a COS signal from the transceiver or
receiver indicating carrier. It also has to be set properly in
simpleusb.conf - carrierfrom= usb or usbinvert - usb if high on
signal and usbinvert if low (0v). If this is not set properly it will not
work or work in weird ways.
carrierfrom works with pin 8 on the DMK-URI. Pin 8 should go to the rigs
cos output.
This is all in the setup docs at hamvoip.org - did you read them?
