[arm-allstar] Ranger functions impact

We're looking building controllers with eight BBB's in them and trying to
come up with a private node numbering scheme that makes it easy to maintain
and replicate the conf files.

I found there are RANGER nodes and they all begin their node number with 9.

What would happen if we used a 9xxxx as a private node number? It would
never be exposed to the Allstar system but would be used by operators in
linking. And would never get the LiTZ.

Does anyone know the answer?

BTW, you guys are really a help in trying to get my arms around learning all
the nuances of Allstar code. Thanks. And when we get our 8 node BBB based
controller up and running we'll share our experiences and setup here.
