Dave,

 I have put this out before but you may not have seen it. There is an error in the iax,conf file that makes the web transceiver and/or phone not work. Here is the correction (at the end of the file) -

[allstar-sys]
type=user
context=allstar-sys
auth=rsa
inkeys=allstar
disallow=all
;allow=ilbc <<<<< remove or comment with semicolon as shown this line.
allow=ulaw

[allstar-public]
type=user
context=allstar-public
auth=md5
secret=allstar
disallow=all
;allow=ilbc <<<<<< Same as above with this line.
allow=ulaw
allow=gsm

#includeifexists custom/iax.conf

Restart asterisk and it should work.

astres.sh

This will be correected in the next release.

Tom,

  This may not be your problem but you need to wait at least 10 minutes after boot for connection to work properly. The reason is the update time of the node database. Your node has to propagate the network. This is worse on the first boot if you have been off for a prior period.

Doug,
I was having similar problems and after I ran through your steps without having any problems things started working on this end. :-)

Today Tom and I have had great fun talking on our simplex nodes to each other linked.
The only thing that we found is that the Web transceiver does not work to my node.
I have a silly firewall that is locked down like Fort Knox. I have the 4569 open are there any other ports required for incoming Web transceiver. ??

Thanks for your help.
Time to order up some more URI's as I need to set up a few more node and I don't have the heart to repossess the one I lent TOM. :-)
