Robert,

Adding a GUI would be a big change to the code and add a lot of overhead and additional code. I have done it on an Odroid and used tightvnc but it is a lot to maintain.. In lieu of that winscp, a free download on windows, adds a lot of file manipulation capability including ssh control. This is a program I often use to transfer files to/from a Pi or BBB from another computer.

Have you tried winscp?

Subject: [arm-allstar] GUI to OS

Is it possible to add basic GUI access to the os? In preference to cd/, nano and such I would like to have a basic window like access for navigating directories, editing text files and using tightVNC, like Mint. Is this possible?
