Yes, lsnodes has been on the releases since the beginning. Also the RPi2 release now has Allmon2. The howto for that is at the hamvoip.org web page.

As long as you have a router ahead of you and you are not serving port 80 to the Internet there is no need to secure the page. On the other hand if you are looking at lsnodes from a remotely located server then yes, you should secure it. In that case it might also be a good idea to not use port 80.

I was pleasantly surprised to find lsnodes already up and running on my BBB. All I needed to do was secure it to the outside world. 
All the more reason to keep running forward with the BBB and RPI2.
I really enjoy the graphical interface of what my node is up to.
