Robert,

 Archlinux uses journalctl to view the logging.  Just Google 'journalctl' and you will see lots of info on it. Here is one example...

The Asterisk log is still in /var/log/asterisk/messages.

I'd like to look at a log for my BBB to see if there are any errors with regards to my internet connection. I want to confirm to see, we had an incident this morning that we believe was a bad mic PTT. I want to confirm it want latency issues with me internet connection. 
I've looked at /var/log faillog and lastlog but those just had jibber jabber.
