[arm-allstar] Help debugging CM119 Dongle on BBB

I am in early stages of debugging a CM119 based interface board on the BBB.
My design with lots of inspiration from existing designs.
It has a 12V power supply and a CM119 on it. It plugs into the BB and
powers it and the USB is connected between the two boards.
The green LED does not come on so something is amuck.
I have found one issue. Seems I got the 1.5K pullup on the wrong data line.
As you can see in the picture I have a kudge for that.
I am seeing some action on the data lines but have not pulled out the USB
protocol analyser.

How does one in Linux see what is connected etc? lusb does not show it.
How does Allstar connect to the dongle. Is there anything I need to do?
And yes once I get it working I will do a version for the RPI 2.

The BBB works fine with a URI.
Thanks
Dave
