We just got through doing the deviation meter on the audio path to/from the
BBB and MSF5000 repeater.
Audio from:
Local repeater to Local repeater is now great
Allison (asterisk voice) via URI to Repeater is great
Repeater to BBB is great.
local iaxrpt audio via local ethernet connection is choppy coming out the
repeater
remote audio from internet sources are choppy coming out the repeater, same
as above.
By choppy it sounds like severe packet loss or a digital limit is being
hit. A quieter voice doesn't seem to be affected near as much as a strong
signal.
With Allison playing fine, I'm on the path that the audio connection from
BBB -> URI -> MSF5000 is good, however I'm baffled why the audio from
outside the BBB would sound choppy, even local (same gigabit lan) comes out
choppy.
Any suggestions, or wisdom for what I should start to look into?
Cheers,
Joel
