Sam,

I will let Dave, KB4FXC answer the CI-V question. I believe he might already be doing some rig control with GPIO on the BBB. I would say the answer is yes as there is a lot of capability in that regard hardware wise on the BBB.

As to the voter question. Are you referring to the xipar voting or using the RTCM? We don't support xipar code at this time but if you are referring to RTCM's out in the field connected to a BBB managing them I don't know if it would work. The code is there so if anyone wants to give it a try and report back that would be great. My guess is that it probably would work as long as you didn't load the BBB down with a lot of other stuff. Maybe not even having a direct USB radio on that BBB would be a help.

BTW, I am copying this to the arm-allstar email list as I do most direct queries I get so all can benefit. If you are not subscribed please do so and unless you need to email me personally please direct BBB questions and comments directly to the list. Also and this is directed to everyone on the list.. please try to not hijack another subject. Create a new one with the appropriate subject so readers can generally tell at a glance what the message is about.

Thanks,

73 Doug

Hi Doug, First of all, thank you so much for such a stunning software release. As of right now, my BBB node is 100% functional and stable as far as I've assessed.
I want to personally recognize you for heading up this project, and insist that what you have done is something truly admirable. Thank you.

I do have two questions for you about your image.1. Can I send RBI/CI-V data strings with the onboard GPIO or DMK URI GPIO?2. Could the BBB ever support a voted node?

Thanks for reading and 73.Sam KJ6QFS
