Hi Chuck,
When Asterisk "registers" with the AllStar network, it send UDP packets on
port 4569 back the the AllStar host servers. This does not mean that
inbound connections from the Internet will work, even if the node is
properly registering! ....A NAT firewall (typical at Hotels, etc.) will
block all in-bound traffic. In this scenario, since convincing the Hotel
to do port forwarding is hopeless, you need to setup a VPN which will
tunnel thru the NAT and give you a live address, etc.
BTW, does the 900MHz repeater work properly other than not connecting to
AllStar nodes?
