Not sure what you mean by "how does it send info to allstar"  - what info? The node info for display on the status  page is sent by the statpost command in rpt.conf for each node if they are uncommented.  This is optional and does not effect operation. If it is registered then /tmp/rpt_extnodes has the routing DB. It crosses node number to node IP address and port. When you connect you talk directly to that node at the IP address and port in that DB

ok,
I iaxrpt in from a pc and it shows it now.....
I do not show in the registry on allstarlink, and all the registration is correct in the files. What port, does it "phone home" or how does it send the info to allstar?

 What does ifconfig show? Can you ping anywhere? Does it register? in client - 'iax2 show registry'

You are only going to have a channel showing if you connect to somewhere. Can you connect to anywhere? 

'iax2 show channels' would show the connection. More information is needed.

Yes. 
We took a fully operational node in a portable 900Mhz rptr. with all levels set, i came to SD, it up on the hote wifi and nothing. I do have a firewall issue but  core show channels does not show an iax channel
